LEM 2025: ALTABA - VALERA - VOLT + TIM HODGKINSON & ATSUKO KAMURA

The union of three of the most prolific musicians of Barcelona’s jazz and experimental scene, a free improvisation project that draws on long and eclectic careers to create a whole that is difficult to define. The communication between Eduard Altaba's double bass, Patxi Valera's percussion and Pope's winds takes them down unexplored paths. Even when they perform songs from their two released albums so far, they rebuild them as they play.

Tim Hodgkinson returns to the LEM 21 years later with the Japanese singer Atsuko Kamura. The Hawaiian guitar and winds of the co-founder of Henry Cow land after touring Japan with a project that grows between song and improvisation. He is accompanied by Kamura, a legend as the founder of the punk band Polka Dot Fire Brigade and a reference voice of the global experimental scene.
