LEM 2025: ART QUARTET + ELECTRIC TOTEMS

Driven by the desire to honor the arts, drummer and sound artist Genís Bagés created Art Quartet with three outstanding artists such as Clara Lai (keyboard), Àlex Reviriego (double bass and electronics) and Leonor Falcón (violin). Its starting point is the primary gesture of the arts, improvisation, with performance where they play a free and genuine repertoire and where the sounds of acoustic instruments merge with electronics.

Behind Electric Totems there’s two big names of the European scene. Dr. Truna is an inventor of sound widgets, with retrofuturistic, pataphysical and dada infuences. Of Pierre Bastien The Guardian said he’s a musical crazy scientist with a celebrity’s popularity. He has worked with Robert Wyatt and Aphex Twin and combines futuristic ideas with Dada and ancestral sounds. Together, mechanics and electronics are mixed with expanded instruments and self-built devices.
