LEM 2025: MARCEL·LÍ BAYER

A saxophonist and clarinetist trained at Taller de Músics and ESMUC, Marcel lí Bayer moves between the most orthodox jazz and the extremes of music: free improvisation and experimentation. A member of Seward, Tàlveg, or Bindu Trio, he has also collaborated with Marco Mezquida, Albert Cirera, Núria Graham, Amidea Clotet, and poet Oriol Sauleda. As a solo artist, he has also recorded albums like Nonitz (2011), accompanied by Lee Konitz, and others where, entirely alone, he has thoroughly explored the possibilities of the instruments. His latest, The Brightest Point (2025), is a very good example: an album inspired by a supernova and by the ideas of life, cosmos, death, and cycles.
