A veteran Polish duo and a young Sardinian sound artist on LEM’s most international night
Formed by Krysztof Pawlik and Malgorzata Dancewicz, this duo combines sound, image and word in multimedia performances. Active for 25 years, their projects start from electronic and electroacoustic instruments, especially analogue synthesizers, samplers and modular systems, to fuse electronic music, sound art, field recordings, noise, processed human voice and video.
Despite his youth, Nicola Vacca is an artist with a long and eclectic career. Starting out on drums, he has played jazz and rock as well as electronic, experimental and improvised music. He comes to Barcelona to present Movements, based on the study of the interaction between human gesturality and the action of machines. He uses solenoids to expand rhythmic trajectories, combining gestural expression and mechanical impulse to produce music.
