Night of duets at LaKontra de Gràcia: Joan Bagés and Joan Martí-Frasquier, and Marc Mateu and Jofre Fité. Contemporary music and improvisation on popular genres.
Joan Martí-Frasquier (saxophone) and Joan Bagés (piano and electronics) are Morphosis Duo, promoters of electroacoustic music. On their tenth anniversary, accompanied by Cristina Rodríguez on viola, they will perform works by various composers: current creation and contemporary musical heritage, with guest artists who will reclaim Barcelona as one of the great stages of contemporary music.
Whifi is an improvisation duo with synthesizers, samplers and keyboards. Its members are producer, keyboardist, singer and composer Marc Mateu, known as Red/White Pèrill and for his fusion of electronica with jazz, rock, funk and soul; and pianist, keyboardist and composer Jofre Fité, who has gone from reggae and funk to big bands, contemporary music and fusing techno and minimalism. Together they combine electronica, groove, ambient, jazz and other genres, making music that is free yet approachable.
